She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ellen and Mary Ellen. She is survived by: her siblings, Colleen M. McGovern of Riverside and Dr. Cahil McGovern (Patricia) of North Kingstown; and her siblings' children, James C. McGovern of North Kingstown, Liam O. McGovern of North Kingstown and Maura C. McGovern of North Kingstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society of RI, 205 Hallene Rd # 209, Warwick, RI 02886.
