He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren I. Beckwith and Alice Ames. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Laura Beckwith (Jens Ellebæk) of Copenhagen and Melissa Jarvis of McLean, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Casper, Daniel, Emily, Jane and Susannah; his brother Eric; his sister-in-law Joan; and his stepsiblings, Carol Martin (Brisse), Pam Joswick (Brisse) and Eugene Brisse.
