He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemarie A. (Pettiglio); and his parents, Joseph Aguiar and Barbara R. Aguiar (Ferreira). He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Aguiar (Denise) of Coventry and David Aguiar (Roxanne) of Coventry; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth "Lizzy", Andreas, Joseph and Sara. He is also survived by his pet dogs.
