He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Elizabeth "Lisa" D. Green; his parents, Carol A. Alberti (Spetrini) and Kevin J. McAteer, Sr.; his children, Deanna E. McAteer, Hailey R. McAteer, Emily N. McAteer, Joshua S. Cahill and Zachary J. Machado; and his siblings, Shaun P. McAteer and Melissa L. Lapensee.

Burial will be private in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
