It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita V. Cogean of Warwick, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 7, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband George E. Cogean, Sr.; her parents, Frank H. Rowe, Jr. and Viola Rowe (Lury); her son Frank P. Cogean; and her brother Frank J. "Sonny" Rowe.

She is survived by : her children, George E. Cogean, Jr. of Warwick, Robert K. Cogean of Warwick, Richard W. Cogean of Warwick, Beverly A. Whittemore of Blairsville, GA, Lori A. Corbeil of Saunderstown and Kenneth A. Cogean; and her siblings, Margaret "Margie" Bassett of Warwick, William Rowe and Harold Rowe. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Facial coverings and social distancing will be required. Due to COVID19 restrictions, the funeral service and burial will be private.
