She was predeceased by : her parents, John Merikoski and Ilma Ilona Merikoski (Hyvarinen); and her daughters, Nancy Tikkanen and Lona Tikkanen. She is survived by : her children, Kristen Tikkanen of West Greenwich, RI and Wayne Tikkanen (Linda) of Warwick, RI.; her grandchildren, Nils Tikkanen, Katya Tikkanen, Erik Tikkanen, Jorma Tikkanen and Kei ShaoTikkanen; and her great grandchildren, Stephen Tikkanen and Bea Tikkanen.
