We are sad to announce that on July 2, 2021, at the age of 82, Janice Louise Briggs of West Kingston, Rhode Island, born in East Greenwich, Rhode Island passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her spouse Stearns E. "Gene" Briggs, III; her parents, Howard A. Nyman and Marion M. Nyman (Rathbun); her child Stearns E. Briggs, IV; and her brother Howard A. Nyman.

She is survived by : her children, Andrew A. Briggs (Jeanie) of West Kingston, Timothy A. Briggs (Meg) of Exeter and Cynthia M. Pinkerton (James) of West Kingston; and her siblings, George A. Nyman of North Kingstown and Evelyn N. Karppinen of Carolina. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
