Raymond M. Fernandes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2025, at the age of 94, Raymond M. Fernandes of West Warwick, Rhode Island passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Fernandes and Beatrice Fernandes (Laurence); his brother Norman Fernandes; his daughter-in-law Lynda Fernandes (Santos); and his brother-in-law Arthur Simas.
He is survived by: his wife Irene M. Fernandes (Belanger); his sons, Raymond R. Fernandes (Paula) and Stephen A. Fernandes (Bernadette); his grandchildren, Lindsey Rae Gilmore (Mike), Anthony Fernandes (Samantha) and Emily Rae Fernandes (Max); his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Briggs, Christian Briggs and William Fernandes; his sister Irene V. Simas; and his sister-in-law Buffy Fernandes. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prata-Gallogly Funeral Home (78 Providence St, West Warwick, RI 02893). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Anthony Church (1 Sunset Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Acotes Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Fergy's memory to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
