He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebatian Saporita and Rosa Saporita; and his siblings, Joseph, Anthony Saporita, Santa Russo and Mary Palumbo.

He is survived by: his wife Frances; his children, John Saporita Jr., Debra Lindeborg, Jean Scardina and Linda Moscaritolo; and his brother Salvatore "Tudy" Saporita (Sara Nugro). He is also survived by his three son-in-laws, nine grandchildren.
