She was predeceased by : her husband Damian J. Ruiz; her grandson Gabriel N. Humeston; and her parents, Charles Wheeler and Margaret Wheeler (Smith). She is survived by : her children, Alicia J. Appleton of Westerly, Henry C. Appleton of Westerly and Justin R. Appleton of Westerly; her brothers, Dan Wheeler of Ashaway, Bill Wheeler and Antoine Wheeler of Ashaway; and her grandchildren, Nathaniel S. Burge, Braeden N. Appleton and Peyton R. Appleton.
