He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lanphear and Edna Lanphear; and his sister Sherry Akers. He is survived by: his sons, Craig J. Lanphear of Charlestown, Kirk S. Lanphear of Westerly, Mark C. Lanphear of Westerly and Matthew J. Lanphear of Westerly; his siblings, Jeffrey Lanphear of New Hampshire, Susan Sharpe of Ledyard, CT, Cindy Kay (Franklin) and Cathy McAlpine of Ocala, FL; his stepmother Luciana Lanphear of Westerly; and his stepsiblings, Katherine Obey of Gales Ferry and James Clark of Hopkinton, RI..
