He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Merrill (Mello); his parents, Curtis Merrill and Edith Merrill (Hinds); and his brothers, Curtis Merrill Jr. and William Merrill.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Woods (Merrill) and Richard Merrill; his children, Scott Merrill (Cassandra) and Lisa Poisson (Merrill); his grandchildren, David Poisson Jr., Alexis Merrill, Jasiah Merrill, Devin Merrill, Lucas Merrill, Anthony Ledger and Isabella Ledger; and his friends, Carol, Donna, Scott Heard and Earl Murray.
