She was predeceased by : her parents, Rene Laplante and Cecile Laplante (Trudeau); and her brother Roger Laplante. She is survived by : her husband Gordon Smith; her daughter Meredith Dicesare of North Smithfield; her sister Denise Rowles of Chepachet; her grandchildren, Sophia Gregory and Jameson Dicesare; and her brother Joe Laplante.
