He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert L. Giles, Sr. and Lillie Mae Carpenter Giles; his sister Glenda Giles Russum; his son-in-law Rudy King; and his niece Rhonda R. Callaway.

He is survived by : his wife Jean Cartledge Giles; and his children, Wanda King of Abbeville, Albert L. 'Al Giles, III (Vickie) of Abbeville and Jeff Giles (Cissy) of Abbeville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew.
