He was predeceased by: his father William P. Biles; his stepfather Rex A Pilz; and his mother Eileen S Pilz. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen S Pilz; his children, Bert A Pilz Jr. (B. J.) and Candace Pilz (late Mel McClain) of Lexington, SC; his sister Eudene Rossi of Aiken, SC; his granddaughters, Brittany Pilz of Charlotte, NC, Lexi Lenarz of Aiken, SC, Payton and Jordan Pilz of North Augusta, SC; his daughter-in-law Theresa Redd Pilz; his siblings-in-law, Herman, Lester Seigler, William Reynolds, Rebecca Workentine (John) of Charlotte, NC, Sara Blackmon, Rose Lockhart (Joe) and Susie; and his close friends, Teo Estrada, Jimmy Green of Aiken, SC, Ryan Sumner and Jessie. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
