It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Thorngate of Aiken, South Carolina, born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles W. Thorngate; her parents, Elmer Ehrhard and Annis Knowlton Ehrhard; and her daughter Christine Gottlieb. She is survived by: her daughter Dorothy Brannon; her sister Mary E. Stivers (Douglas); her grandchildren, Noah Gottlieb of Portland, OR, Adam Gottlieb (Noellia), Matthew Brannon (Lauren Berl), Kathleen B. Benjamin (David), Lori B. Thornton (David) and Patrick Brannon (Janis); and her great grandchildren, Jenna Thornton, Lindsay Thornton, Garrett Thornton and Morgyn Brannon.
