He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne Cagle Byrd; his parents, George W. Byrd and Mays Allen Byrd; and his granddaughter Shaunna Knight. He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline "Sissy" Byrd Novellino and Warren Byrd; his stepchildren, Patricia Knight, Mike Myers (Teresa), Karon Mackey and Thomas Myers; his brother Steve Byrd (Connie); and also Michelle Morgan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
