It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Smith of Aiken, South Carolina, born in Trenton, South Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Frances Cook, Clara Burton and Marshall Burton. She is survived by: her husband Lionel Vance Smith; her children, Kelli Renee Smith and Lionel Vance "Van" Smith, Jr. (Tracey); her granddaughters, Jessica, Madelyn and Abigail Smith; and her siblings, Virginia Kemp (John) of Edgefield, SC and Robert E. Burton (Faye). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the church will be enforcing their funeral service protocols.
