He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel W Waddell and Mae Lanford Waddell; his son David (Alta); and his wife Mary "Polly" Waddell. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Iris Wilburn of Cross Keys, SC; his sons, Phillip (Lisa), Carl (Angie) and Phil (Lisa); his granddaughter Andi; and his sibling's children, Wayne (JoAnn), Doug (Sybil), Denis (Phoebe), Kathy Parker (Roy), Sandra Shuman (Tom), Jane Coker (Anthony) and Missy Atkinson (Steve).
