He was predeceased by: his mother Lyda Campbell Gilmer; his son David Gilmer; and his sisters, Madge McKorkle and Ruth Poupard. He is survived by: his wife Anna Katie Gilmer; his daughter Anna Elaine Visner (Robert); and his grandchildren, Kyle Robert Visner (Claudia Paz Lopez), Derek Michael Visner and Lindsay Marie Kramer (Kevin).
