He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Annette James Owens; and his parents, Harry Hastings and Alice Evelyn Hair Owens. He is survived by: his children, Debra Haynes (Wilbur), Robin Fields, Jacky Fields, Tracy Owens (Karen) and Stacie Usry (Lyle); and his sisters, Esther Cope (Winford) and Isabelle Messer (Cornelius). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
