He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dotha Allen, Sr. and Helen Freeman DeFore. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Allen; his children, Michael Allen (Rhonda) of Elko, Jennifer Heverly (Corey) of Aiken, Paul Wilhelm of Aiken and Rhonda Alexander (John) of Arlington, TX; his grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt, Blakely, Brittany and Ashlee; his great grandchildren, Alex, Rylan and Brandon; and his brothers, Larry Allen of St. Simon Island, GA and Tommy Allen (Pam) of Daytona Beach, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
