He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Bijas; his wife Kathy; his sister Edith Simoneau; and his nephew Michael Simoneau. He is survived by: his mother Irene Bijas of Kensington, CT.; his friend Bruce Shipman; his niece Nicole (Jack Manno); his great-nephews, Jack and Luc E. Manno; his brother-in-law Gary (Maria Simoneau); and his cousins, Patricia and Freddie Faniard of Belgium.
