He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Caper and Lillian Mae Carpenter Wiles; and his daughter Amanda Smith. He is survived by: his wife Robin Lynn Crews; his children, Ashley Patrick (Ricky) of Goose Creek, SC, Angela Knight (Jason) and James Crews V; his grandchildren, Tanner, Dakota, Sophie, Ryan, Paiton, Kailyn and Rilan; his sister-in-law Sharon Duncan (Fred); his nephew-in-law Chris Owens (Kim); his siblings, Patricia Garcia (Fernando) of North Augusta, SC, Sharon Oswald (Andy), Alfred Good, Mark (Brenda) and Robbie Wiles (Heather); his half-brother Houston Good of Aiken; and his nieces, Stephanie Castleberry and Brittany Wilkinson (David).
