She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Walker Brown and Gladys Iona Brown; and her brother Julian "Nicki" Brown. She is survived by: her husband James "Doc" Weems of Portsmouth; her children, Jennifer O'Leary (Matt) of Aiken, SC, James Weems (Megan) of Nashville, TN, Jeff Weems (Cristy) of Nashville, TN, Jill Higgins (Brian) of Seattle, WA, Julie Salas (Steve) of Pittsburgh, PA and Jessica Weems of Huntersville, NC; her brother Douglas R. Brown; and her grandchildren, Brady, Tommy, Maggie, Leo, Milo, Adeline and Nora. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
