He was predeceased by: his parents, Nemesio Santiago and Carmen Vega; his child Liberato; his close friend Steve (Wilda); and his siblings, Leonardo, Carmelo, Pablo, Jose and Iris.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen I. Rivas Ortiz Vega; his children, Jose (Sandy), Jim (Kathy) and Gerry; and his stepsisters, Lourdes, Carmen Socorro, Haydee and Lucia.
