He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Ross and Wallace Ross; and his brother John Ross. He is survived by: his wife Darcy Hammond-Ross; his son Robert Ross (Cheryl); his mother-in-law Doris Hammond; his sisters-in-law, Kim Hammond-Beyer (Carl) and Lauri Hammond; his granddaughter Sara Ross; his stepgrandson Sean Spahr; his sister Charlotte Rogel; and his niece Kinsey Silvers (Allen).
The family request that no flowers be sent and that donations made in Lorin's honor be directed to the Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS) or the Aiken Community Theatre Youth Wing.
