With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Yancey of Aiken, South Carolina, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on April 17, 2021 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitelaw Reed Yancey, Jr. and Barbara Childress Yancey. He is survived by: his wife Denise Dodd Yancey; his children, Michael Thomas Yancey, Jr. (Sarah) of Holiday, FL, Monica Lauren France (Frankie) of Spring Hill, FL, Dawn Denise Chapman (Johnny) of Aiken, SC, Sarah Jayne Walton (Andrew) of Aiken, SC, Sharon Risinger (Mark) of Aiken, SC and Jason Wilson (Debbie) of Augusta, GA; his siblings, Clarence "Butch" Yancey (Edette) of Clearwater, FL and Jeanne Coulter (Randy) of Hudson, FL; and his pet Casey. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; five nieces and nephews.
