She was predeceased by: her husband James A. Whitmire; her parents, Dewey Bryson and Winfred Reed Bryson; and her siblings, Aileen Riddle, MaryLou Orr and George Bryson.
She is survived by: her children, Gail D. Whitmire, Shirley W. McCollum of Windsor, SC, Myra W. Eaves (Tom) and James G. Whitmire of Greer, SC; and her grandchildren, Nathan McCollum (Billie), Erick McCollum (Emily), Adam McCollum, Adrian Gray, Lauren Sawyer, Katie Eaves and John Eaves. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
