He is survived by: his wife Linda Hesson Phillips of Aiken, SC; his daughter Amy Phillips Dukes; his grandchildren, Jacob Michael Dukes and Ella Elizabeth Dukes of Martinez, GA; and his siblings, Partrica Phillips Hargis, Randall Kent Phillips (LaVaughn) and Sherwood Van Phillips (Rosalie) of Lynchburg, VA..
