It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard L. Hunter of Aiken, South Carolina, born in East Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Hunter and Ruth Hunter; and his sister Beryl Gorr of Palm Bay. He is survived by: his significant other Shirley Pearman; his children, Stephen and Susan; and his nephews, Tom and Geoff Gorr of Florida.

Over the years he served as a regional campaign chairman for the United Way, served on the Boards of a major hospital in Idaho Falls and with Governor's Land Foundation in Williamsburg, and as a deacon and elder in his churches.
