He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Behnke and Esther Huchthausen Behnke. He is survived by: his wife Susan Rankin Behnke; his cousins, Carole Burns (Doug) of Westford, MA, Diane Carey (Danny), Judith and Jeanie Huchthausen; his stepson John K. "Spud" McCullough, Jr.; and his nieces, Stephanie Sharpe and Emily Baumil.
