He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Black Lamar and Margaret Wright Lamar; his grandmother Ethel Walker Wright; his cousins, Dawson Teague, Dorothy Wright McLeod and Ethel Wright McCrary; his uncle Russell Wright; his wife Krista Williams Lamar; his children, Wayland Wright Lamar, Jr. and Mary Swan Sprague Lamar; his daughter-in-law Lori Lamar; his grandsons, Wayland Wright Lamar III and Christian Dunbar Lamar; and his sister-in-law Kathryn McGill Lamar.
