He is survived by: his children, Roy Herron of Aiken, SC, Eli Herron, San, Elizabeth Brooks (Joe) of Augusta, GA and Diane Vaughn; his sister Francis Lemmons of Chickasha, OK; and his stepchildren, Michael McGowan (Patti) of Gaffney, SC, Donna Whitaker (Johnny) of Canton, GA, Beth Thompson (Wes) and Holly Swanson. He is also survived by grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
