He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Dudley and Ozetta Howell; his grandparent Noetta Powell; his aunts, Ruth Robinson Walker and Jetheree Robinson; and his uncle R. E of South Carolina.
He is survived by : his son Duane L. Powell Jr. of Detroit Michigan; and also Faye Williams (Joe) of Anderson.
