Garrett T. Leahey Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garrett T. Leahey Jr. of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrett T. Leahey and Evelyn Vroom Leahey; his former wife Carol Childs Leahey; his children, Garrett Leahey III and Catherine Lucia Recinos; his granddaughter Brooke Anne Leahey; and his brother James Seta Leahey.
He is survived by: his wife Lauren Bowen Leahey; his son T. Sean Leahey (Allison); his stepdaughter Lesley J. Meyer (Andy); and his siblings, Michael G. Leahey (Teresa) and Theresa M. Leahey. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cooper Veterans Cemetery (140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621).
