She was predeceased by : her husband Ralph Carson Riggs; her parents, James Monroe and Ella Louise Ayers; and her siblings, James Esco Ayers and Carol Jean Campbell.

She is survived by : her daughters, Connie Denise Riggs, Trassa Renea Brown and Kassandra Jewell Smith; and her siblings, Lonnie Ray Ayers, Carrie Louise Stubblefield and Patricia Gail Banister. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
