He was predeceased by : his parents, William Elmore Johnson, Sr. and Grace Bishop Johnson; and his nephew William Elmore Johnson, III. He is survived by : his wife Sylvia Whirton Johnson; his daughters, Karen Merrit (David) of Sandy Run, Samantha Driggers (Westley) of Bamberg, Michelle Cox, Sr. (Robert) and Las Vegas of Nevada; his grandchildren, David Merrit, Jr., Haley Shuler (Bryan), Steven Driggers (Dawn), Chelsee Loadholt (Travis), Robert Cox, Jr. (Lian) and Tiffany Cox; his brother William Elmore Johnson, Jr.; and his nephew James Johnson (Tammy). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
