He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Jacqueline Shafer, Deana Corsetti (Steve) and Woodrow Proveaux; his grandchildren, Alex Proveaux (Ally), Ashley Boot (Jesse), Brandon Proveaux (Taylor), Austin Smith (Kellie), Mya Corsetti, Hunter Shafer and Nick Shafer; his great grandchildren, Talon Boot, Raevyn Boot, Millie and Conner Proveaux; and his siblings, Carolyn Haynes and Fred Bernard Proveaux, Jr.. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
