With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Pearson Gunter (Barnwell, South Carolina), born in Portsmouth, Ohio, who passed away on April 28, 2019 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Monroe Pearson Sr. and Hilda Castle Bryant; her husband Earl Arthur Gunter; and her brothers, Lenton and Earl Pearson.
She is survived by: her children, Maureena G. Johnsey (Dennis) of Columbia and Johnnie Whittle (Brenda) of Belvedere; her grandchildren, Angelique Johnsey, Charles Whittle, Johnathan Whittle, Tim Whittle, Vicky Whittle and Denise Whittle; and her nieces, Debra Pearson Smoak, Diane P. Snyder (Amos) and L. P. Pearson (Tanya).
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be may to Reedy Branch Baptist Church.
