She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred J. Starkey and Edna Earl Starkey; and her son Michael Franklin Cheek. She is survived by : her husband Noah Franklin Cheek; her children, Christine Creech (Stanley) of Barnwell and James Cheek (Robin) of Barnwell; her grandchildren, Raymond Creech (Tina), Kay Corder (Stephen), Jessica Cheek (James Elkins), Stacey Catoe (Luke) and Joel Cheek (Kelsey); her great grandchildren, Michale Creech, Nathan Simmons, McKynzie Still, Cindi Creech, Cash Creech, Tres Corder, Cooper Catoe, Molly Elkins, Rayleigh Cheek, O'Neil Catoe and Macyn Elkins; and her great great grandchild Waylon Bell.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 24th 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Barnwell United Methodist Church Cemetery (228 Hagood Ave, Barnwell, SC 29812). Masks and social distancing will be observed at the service and visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Barnwell Community Soup Kitchen, P. O. Box 1901, Barnwell, SC or Denmark RA Meals on Wheels, P. O. Box 325, Denmark, SC 29042.
