He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Gilbert Smoak Jr; and his siblings, Kathy Smoak Rosier and Phillip Smoak. He is survived by: his parent Mozell Gilliam Smoak; his wife Debra Pearson Smoak of Barnwell; his sons, Derek Dyches (Pam) and Jamie Dyches of Barnwell; his sister Christine Hough (Wade) of Olar, SC; his brother-in-law J. W. Rosier of Barnwell; his grandchildren, Ryan Vickers and Travis Derek Dyches; and his sibling's children, Meranda Jackson (Rusty) and Brad Hough.
Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memorial Cemetery at the airport Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, October 12, 2018 at Mole Funeral Home In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Reedy Branch Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
