She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice White and Richard Wilson; her husband J. C. Alewine; and her children, Clara Smith, Carol Ann Addy, Virginia Alewine, Clarence Alewine of Freddie Alewine, J. C, Terry Alewine and Johnny Alewine of Batesburg-Leesville.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marie Phillips of Batesburg-Leesville, Nancy Alewine of Batesburg-Leesville, Brenda Norris of Batesburg-Leesville and Sonja Holloway of Irmo; her siblings, Linda Estrade (George) and James White of Columbia; and her daughters, Darlene Abney, Josephine Robinson, Linda B. Johnson (Charlie) of Lexington and Dot West. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, sixty-nine great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
