He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Seibert and Alfred H. Barton Sr.; and his stepfather Henry McKelveen. He is survived by: his sister Marjorie Marinaccio (Louis); his close friend Arlene Barton; his children, Deborah Barton, James Barton (Kristie), Daniel Barton, Jonathan Barton (Christol) and David Barton; his grandchildren, Jonathan M. Barton (Holly Petersen-Overton), Peyton Barton-Barrineau, Alexander Barton (Arryanna Jordan), Dillon Barton, Abigail Barton (Ethan Spence), Andrew Barton and Sydney Barton (Andrew Brinson); and his great grandchildren, Nova Barton, Asher Barton, Michael Barrineau, Presleigh Barrineau and Giovanni Barton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home (303 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the James A Dyal Funeral Home (303 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483). The military honors will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
