He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen George and Pauline Supey Kmetz; and his wife Janet Maher Kmetz. He is survived by: his sons, Michael M. Kmetz (Emily) of Summerville, SC and James J. Kmetz (Lynsey) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Amelia, Jack, Lucile, James, Madeleine and Carter; his son Stephen G. Kmetz, III (Laura) of St. Paul, MN; the mother of his child Lynda Brown; and his sister Pauline K. Makowski of Kingston, PA..
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
