He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Smith and Pearl Roach Smith; his daughter Angela Seeley Smith; his brother Ledford Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Ellis Craig, Dennis Price, Charles Ray Pennington, Bobby Pennington, John Earl Pennington, Carrol Pennington, Phillip Pennington, Betty Smith and Janice Pennington.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Pennington Smith; his son Mark Smith (Tabitha); his siblings, Lester (Mary Ann), Florine Craig and Betty Price; and his siblings-in-law, Ralph Pennington (Mildred), Jerry Pennington, Peggy Hinton (Robert), Brenda Pennington, Cynthia Pennington and Diane Pennington.
