She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Poole and Cora Lee Linder Poole; and her son Samuel Gilbert Taylor. She is survived by: her husband George Leo Hitt Jr.; and her children, Benny Earl Taylor of Pelzer, Cathy Linda Manley of Pendleton and Melanie Lee Hitt of Fountain Inn. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and many special cousins.
