She was predeceased by: her husband John Frank Strickland; her parents, James Wesley and Pamela Ellen Elgin Hansford; her son James Frank Strickland; and her children-in-law, Martha Ann Strickland and James Franklin Patton.
She is survived by: her children, Leroy Andrew Strickland of Williamston, Gerald Lee Strickland (Linda Ann) of Williamston, Sue Ellen Strickland Patton of Williamston and Kathleen Elizabeth Strickland Chapman (William Isaac) of Antreville; and her daughter-in-law Nomia Lou Williams Strickland. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
