He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Cook and Phylis Cook; his wife Mamie Lee; his children, Khessa Singletary (Chris), Cindy Charles (Kelcey), John Cook III (Monique) and Jevan Cook; and his siblings, Isaac Cook (Hettie), Joe Louis Pouge (Pamela), Ronnie Hickmon, Mabel Miller, Bertha Cook, Shirley Joe, Rebecca Vereen (Charles) and Shirley Dixon (Randy). He was also cherished by five grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; four brother-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
