He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Hardin and Edna Mae Martin Hardin; and his sisters, Diane Hardin, Sandra Martin and Joyce Ann Bullocks.
He is survived by: his spouse Kay Allison Hardin; his sons, Jerry Hardin Jr (Tonya) of Blacksburg and Richard Hardin (Christina) of Blacksburg; his grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler (Emilly), Samantha, Chloe and Thomas Hardin; and his great grandchildren, Aydon, Skyler Jones, Jaydon and Caleb Hardin.
